Village Adoption Project

On behalf of Prarambha Kala Academy, Thane, under the initiative of women empowerment, a few of us from Prarambha visited the homes of underprivileged women living in the Roopadevi Tekdi area of Indiranagar. The purpose was to counsel them so that they may become financially independent, work hard, and secure a better future for themselves and their children.

Around 50 to 55 women had gathered. All of them were eager to work, and it was noteworthy that most of them already knew sewing. Next month, we will be providing them with training in Warli painting. Along with this, we will also supply them with cloth, brushes, and colors. Through them, we plan to implement our Bag Project, which will help them become economically self-reliant.

The main objective behind this initiative is to create employment opportunities for as many women as possible. Here are some glimpses and photographs from today’s counseling session.
