🌹 Prarambh Kala Academy 🌹
Today 21st April 2026, a free cancer screening camp was organized by Prarambh Kala Academy at Kelavne village in Panvel Taluka. The entire Prarambh team worked tirelessly to successfully conduct this meaningful initiative.
During the camp, underprivileged women from the Kelavne region received free Pap smear tests for cervical screening, CA-125 blood tests, internal examinations, and breast examinations. Iron and calcium supplements were also distributed to the women, and antibiotics were provided to those suffering from infections.
Doctors further recommended mammography and sonography tests for a few women, and the complete financial responsibility for these follow-up tests will be undertaken by Prarambh Kala Academy.
The funds required for such initiatives are carefully managed through donations received from generous members of society during various festivals and cultural events. By minimizing festival expenses and consistently saving resources, the organization ensures that these funds are utilized for cancer awareness and diagnostic support.
The camp received valuable support from gynecologist Dr. Ashwini Deshmukh from Uran, as well as Hemant Sir, a resident of Kelavne village, whose cooperation made this initiative possible.
Considering the increasing number of cancer cases in society, the primary objective of Prarambh Kala Academy is to promote early diagnosis and preventive awareness so that cancer can be detected in time—or prevented whenever possible. With the belief that “what we receive from society should be given back to society,” Prarambh has been continuously working in the field of cancer awareness and support for the past 14 years. ✨
