Dr. Arundhati Bhalerao took on the role of host at the H.U.B event, where she captivated the audience with her confident presence and eloquent delivery. Her ability to engage, connect, and maintain the flow of the program made the event vibrant and memorable.
1st May 2026, on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, I was honored to receive the District-Level Ahilyabai Holkar Award at Saket Maidan in Thane. The award was presented to me by the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister, Eknath Shinde, in recognition of the work carried out by our organization in the areas of women’s empowerment, child welfare, various social initiatives, and social justice.
This award is especially meaningful to me because it marks 24 years since I moved to Thane from Vidarbha. It is always a moment of joy when your work is acknowledged. Of course, this recognition does not belong to me alone—it is shared with my colleagues and friends in the organization who have worked alongside me, supported me, and stood by me like family over the past 24 years. It also belongs to our core group and the people of Thane district—our brothers and sisters—whose encouragement, appreciation, and cooperation have made all this possible.
With this recognition comes a greater sense of responsibility. On this occasion, I deeply missed my mother and my sister. I truly wish they were here to witness this achievement. I believe they are always with me, watching over me, yet the moment brings a mix of joy and emotion.
This accomplishment has also been possible because of the constant support of my husband, my daughter, and my family. I dedicate this award to all my colleagues in the organization, to my revered Sadguru Sai Baba, and to my mother and sister.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the Government of Maharashtra, Department of Women and Child Welfare.
On the dais were Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbre, Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, and Namita Shinde, an officer from the Thane District Women and Child Development Department, who was also present on the occasion.
